St. Croix River Valley, Minnesota

The story behind
the land we share.

Our Roots

A place that has always felt like a reset.

Nature has always been an escape from the normal day-to-day. When we bought this land years ago, we'd find ourselves out by the water, listening to ducks and geese overhead, watching beavers and otters move across the lake, and letting the songbirds fill in the quiet.

This land grounds us. These trips to the woods became something we needed on a regular basis. In 2023, we started sharing it with guests at our Lodge facilities, and our passion for hosting good people began to grow.

The adventure of the outdoors, without the compromise.

Growing up camping at state parks around Minnesota, we loved the hiking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, and campfires. What we never loved was the pop-up camper, the tent, the cramped and bug-filled spaces that came with it.

When we decided to share a state park-like experience with others here at Nature Shores, we knew we wanted that same outdoor adventure, but with all the comfort and luxury of home built into every indoor space.

Built for big groups and quiet escapes alike.

We built Nature Shores to share wild places with good people, with a twist of modern luxury. This is a place to explore, connect, and unwind from the world outside.

Our property can support big groups, events, reunions, weddings, and large corporate gatherings with a full property rental, all the way down to couples getaways and corporate traveler housing. We want to share this with you, and we hope you'll join us.
